A Occupational Therapist will obtain a medical and occupational history, assess your occupational barriers and strengths, and set initial treatment goals. Your OT will provide some initial education on strategies and skills for returning to activity, and provide initial steps towards managing your symptoms. In follow-up visits the Occupational Therapist will include reassessment of your strengths and barriers, measures of progression towards your goals, and additional treatment tools, education, strategies and support, as appropriate to your needs.

Jennifer Mauritz is a licensed Occupational Therapist in British Columbia and Germany. She has called Vancouver home for the past 8 years. She has worked as an occupational therapist for over 10 years and her clinical experience includes mental health, Fibromyalgia, chronic pain, ME/CFS, Long-Covid (PACS) and other energy-limiting diseases.

In her work she has focused on walking alongside people with invisible illness, supporting them in their creativity to conquer challenges or maintain meaningful activities by providing individual treatment options and focusing on self-management tools.
